'…..past the rusty gates of the long abandoned house,
deep within the foliage of the trees,
the birds of the town gather each day,
for a chattering exchange of ideas.
And as it so happened, the shrillest of their varied voices
Blended together in the last golden rays of sundown,
and made a joyous music that rose high into the tops of the thickest cypress branches.

THE GARDEN
, approximately
1500 meters
that were once used to cultivate grapes for winemaking, gently unfolds across the land and
is crossed by stone paths.
Many of the original trees and plants were left undisturbed and can be seen in all their majesty, such as
the cypresses, the grape arbor, pomegranate trees, laurel trees, various other fruit trees and rosemary bushes.
A pleasant walk through the garden will fill your thoughts and senses with a heady
perfume as the old has been harmoniously mixed with the new and now blossoms
with various varieties of roses, irises, hydrangea and ivy.

Today the chirping of birds and the scent of flowers flood the garden and the rooms of the Villino with color, light, and music, as an invitation to lose yourself in its poetic splendor.

The garden is kept cool
with water from the Fontanella
di Francesca da Rimini
, a small sculpture designed by the poet Tonino Guerra who took inspiration from the canto in Dante's
'Inferno' that recounts
the tale of love between
Paolo and Francesca.

With the arrival of spring,
the garden is transformed into a little paradise, ideal for
enjoying a quiet breakfast
or a moment of relax
and reflection
.
